How accurate is the Peekaboo gender test?
Peekaboo reports greater than 99% accuracy when the test is done at six weeks or later. A professional blood draw in a clinical setting also removes many of the variables that can affect an at-home collection.
How is the blood collected?
With a standard blood draw from a vein in your arm, just like a routine lab test. It only takes a few minutes, and no fasting is needed.
How long do results take, and how will I get them?
Results are usually ready 1 to 3 days after your visit. At your appointment, we ask how you would like them released. We can email your results to you, and Peekaboo can release them as well, so you stay in control of the moment.
Can I keep it a surprise for a gender reveal party?
Yes. Let us know at your visit that you are planning a reveal, and we will talk through how you would like your results released so the secret stays safe until you are ready.
Can the test tell the gender of twins?
The test looks for a Y chromosome. With twins, it can tell you if at least one baby is a boy, but not the gender of each baby. For multiples, ultrasound is the most reliable way to know.
Is this a medical or diagnostic test?
No. Peekaboo PRO tells you your baby's sex only. It does not screen for genetic conditions and does not replace prenatal care, ultrasound, or any testing your obstetric provider recommends.
