Florida Medical Thermography is a Florida-based clinical thermography practice with more than 45 host locations across the state. Their thermographers are certified through the International Association of Medical Thermologists, which sets the training requirements and imaging standards for the field.
After your session, your images go to Physician's Insight, an independent national service where physicians interpret thermography studies. Keeping imaging and interpretation separate is a core quality standard in thermography, and it was a must-have for us before bringing this service to our patients.

Functional medicine, at its best, looks at the body in layers. Lab work tells us about your biochemistry. Your history and exam tell us about your symptoms and your story. Imaging, when it is used thoughtfully, adds another layer: physiological information that is hard to see in numbers alone.
Thermography is one of those layers. It captures heat patterns that may reflect inflammation, lymphatic flow, and circulation, and it can be a helpful part of the bigger picture we build with patients who want to be proactive about their health.

What is thermography?
Thermography, also called thermal imaging, uses a specialized infrared camera to capture the heat your body naturally gives off. The images show warmer and cooler patterns that may reflect inflammation, circulation, or lymphatic flow.
Can thermography replace my mammogram?
No. Thermography is not a replacement for mammography or any other screening your healthcare provider recommends. It offers a different kind of information and is best used alongside your regular screenings.
Is thermography safe? Does it use radiation?
Thermography uses no radiation, no compression, and no contact. The camera simply records the heat your body gives off, so it is comfortable and non-invasive.
How do I prepare for my session?
Florida Medical Thermography sends detailed prep instructions when you book, such as avoiding lotions and strenuous exercise before your session. Following them helps make your images as accurate as possible.
Who reads my images, and how do I get my results?
Independent physicians at Physician's Insight interpret every study. Your report, with color images, written findings, and a suggested follow-up timeframe, is sent to you by secure email from Florida Medical Thermography.
How much does thermography cost?
Pricing is set by Florida Medical Thermography and depends on the study you choose. You will see the price when you book with them directly.
Can Dr. Tracy review my report with me?
Yes. Established LIV patients can bring their report to their next visit, and we will talk through how it fits with your labs and your overall plan. You are also welcome to share it with any of your healthcare providers.
