Finally, healthcare that looks at the full picture.
Advanced functional medicine designed to uncover deeper answers and create a more personalized path to how you want to feel, function, and live.
You know your body better than anyone. When something feels off, “normal labs” shouldn’t be the end of the conversation.
Your body is trying to tell you something. Our job is to help you understand it.
At Live In Vitality, functional medicine is delivered the way modern healthcare should always have been - with time, precision, and depth. It’s advanced clinical care for adults who want real answers, real personalization, and a long-term relationship with their own health.
We treat people who feel that something is off long before standard labs catch it. We use functional ranges instead of "you’re technically normal." We sequence care correctly, integrate the labs that actually matter, and build plans that fit a real life. This is the kind of healthcare many patients have been looking for.
Functional medicine may be the right fit if you…
Most of our patients aren’t in a medical crisis. They’re busy professionals and health-conscious adults who know something could be working better, who want proactive care before symptoms become bigger problems, and who are tired of being told their labs are "normal" when they don’t feel that way.
If any of these resonate, we’re probably a good fit. If you’re looking for a 15-minute prescription and a referral elsewhere, we’re probably not.
-
You may be the right fit if you

- Struggle with stubborn weight changes that diet alone won’t fix
- Deal with brain fog, low focus, or burnout
- Feel hormonally off - perimenopause, menopause, low T, thyroid
- Experience bloating, reflux, or unresolved digestive issues
- Want a more comprehensive, integrated approach to your health
- Are tired of temporary fixes and short prescriptions
- Want to optimize before symptoms become bigger problems

Conventional care vs functional medicine.
Conventional care is essential for acute issues and emergencies - heart attacks, broken bones, infections, surgery. Functional medicine addresses what comes before and after that: the slow drift of how you feel, the patterns behind chronic symptoms, and the optimization that prevents tomorrow’s diagnosis.
Reactive sick care.
Strategic root-cause optimization.
Conditions where this approach shines.
Functional medicine is broad. These are the conditions where our approach consistently delivers strong, durable outcomes.
Hormone Optimization
Perimenopause, menopause, hypothyroidism, andropause, low testosterone. Bioidentical hormone support, thyroid optimization, and cycle balancing built around how you actually feel.
Metabolic Health & Weight
Insulin resistance, stubborn weight, body composition, metabolic syndrome. Sustainable strategies that address why the weight is staying, not just how much you eat.
Gut Health & Digestion
IBS, dysbiosis, food sensitivities, bloating, reflux. Targeted testing and phased protocols to actually heal the gut, not just suppress symptoms.
Energy, Focus & Burnout Recovery
Brain fog, low energy, post-stress recovery, mental clarity. Investigation into cortisol patterns, hormonal balance, and the nutritional drivers of how sharp and capable you actually feel.
Sleep & Recovery
Sleep quality, insomnia, restoration, daytime energy. Sleep isn’t just hygiene - it’s a hormonal, metabolic, and nervous-system signal worth investigating.
Skin & Hormonal Acne
Hormonal acne, perimenopausal skin changes, eczema, dull or inflamed skin. The skin is a window into hormones, gut, and inflammation - we treat upstream.
Inflammation & Longevity
Chronic low-grade inflammation, biomarker optimization, healthy aging. Identifying and addressing the silent drivers that age the body faster than necessary.
Preventive Optimization
For health-conscious adults who feel fine but want to feel exceptional. Comprehensive testing, biomarker tracking, and a long-game strategy.
Most patients arrive with several of these at once. That’s usually a feature, not a complication - functional medicine works best when it can address the full picture.
What functional medicine often integrates with.
Most patients arrive with several concerns at once - hormones, weight, energy, gut, peptides, longevity, mood. Booking functional medicine first means we can address all of it together as one connected system, instead of treating each in isolation.
Your functional medicine journey.
A clear, sequenced approach. Most patients begin to feel meaningful change within the first three months.
Comprehensive Consultation
A deep-dive evaluation reviewing your symptoms, history, lifestyle, hormones, digestion, stress, sleep, previous labs, and overall health patterns. This is the visit where we connect the dots most providers don’t have time for.
What may be included- Functional bloodwork review
- Hormone evaluation
- Metabolic assessment
- Lifestyle analysis
- Root-cause mapping
- Advanced testing recommendations
Advanced Testing & Clinical Review
We review your labs, imaging, and functional testing together to identify the patterns, imbalances, and underlying drivers contributing to your symptoms. You leave understanding your own biology in a way most patients never do.
Testing may include- Comprehensive bloodwork
- Hormone testing (DUTCH, serum)
- Gut health testing (GI-MAP)
- Nutrient analysis
- Thyroid panels (full)
- Metabolic markers
- Cortisol evaluation
- Inflammatory markers
Personalized Root-Cause Plan
Your custom plan addresses the actual drivers, not just the symptoms. Every recommendation is sequenced - we don’t throw fifteen things at you at once and hope something sticks.
Your plan may include- Targeted nutrition strategies
- Lifestyle optimization
- Phased supplement protocols
- Hormone support
- Peptide therapy
- IV therapy & nutrient support
- Sleep optimization
- Metabolic support
Because every layer of your plan is coordinated within the same care system, your treatment can actually move together. That’s the advantage of integrated care.
Follow-Up & Optimization
Healing and optimization are a process. Follow-up visits let us track progress, repeat the labs that matter, adjust protocols, and keep optimizing how you feel over time. The first few months are about getting better. After that, the work becomes about staying ahead.
Most patients see meaningful change within three months and continue refining for the next year. Long-term care is what makes the change actually stick.
What makes our care different.
The clinical philosophy we apply to every patient, every visit.
Functional ranges, not just "normal."
"Normal" simply means you don’t have a disease. Functional ranges identify where your biology is actually optimized. We use both - and your treatment is built around the latter.
Sequenced care, in the right order.
Thyroid before sex hormones. Adrenals before thyroid optimization. Gut foundation before complex protocols. The order is what makes the protocol actually work - and what makes it last.
Genetics-informed when it matters.
MTHFR, COMT, and other variants change how your body processes B vitamins, hormones, and stress. We use that information to personalize - not as a marketing line.
Time you can actually use.
60 to 75 minutes for an initial visit. 30 to 60 for a follow-up. Enough time to ask the question that finally explains the symptom.
Supplements that earn their place.
Targeted, sequenced protocols using practitioner-grade brands. Every supplement on your plan has a specific clinical purpose - and we tell you when it can come off.
Whole-system care.
Hormones affect metabolism. Metabolism affects mood. Mood affects sleep. Sleep affects everything. We treat the body as the integrated system it actually is, not as separate problems for separate specialists.
The kind of medicine I wanted to practice.
I built Live In Vitality because I was tired of watching patients get bounced between specialists, told their labs were "normal," and handed prescriptions that didn’t address why they were getting sick in the first place. Functional medicine is the kind of medicine I always wanted to practice - the kind that asks better questions and takes the time to actually listen to the answers.
If you’re reading this, you probably already know something is off. Many patients come to us after years of fragmented care, rushed visits, and plans that never addressed the full picture. You need someone willing to look deeper, run the right labs, and build a plan that fits the life you’re actually living.
That’s what we do here. If it sounds like the right fit, I’d love to meet you.

Questions, answered.
What makes functional medicine different from traditional care?
Conventional care is excellent at acute and emergency medicine - if you break a bone or have a heart attack, that’s where you go. It is less effective at the slow, layered, multi-system issues most of us actually deal with: stubborn weight, hormonal shifts, fatigue, gut symptoms, sleep, and the whole "I don’t feel like myself" category.
Functional medicine takes the time to investigate why those things are happening. We use functional lab ranges instead of disease-only ranges, we sequence care correctly, and we build plans that address the actual drivers - not just the symptom on the surface.
What happens during the first visit?
The initial consultation is 60 to 75 minutes. We review your full health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, sleep, stress, digestion, hormones, and any previous labs. By the end of the visit, we’ve identified the patterns worth investigating and ordered the labs needed to confirm them. You leave with a clear sense of direction - not a vague "let’s see what happens."
Will I need lab work or advanced testing?
Almost always. Functional medicine is a data-driven approach - we don’t guess. Most patients need a comprehensive metabolic and hormone panel at minimum, and many also benefit from gut testing (GI-MAP), a DUTCH hormone panel, micronutrient analysis, or specialty thyroid panels. We only order what your case actually needs.
Do you prescribe medications when needed?
Yes. Functional medicine is not anti-medication - it is pro-precision. When a prescription is the right tool, we use it. We also use bioidentical hormones, peptides, targeted supplements, and lifestyle protocols, often in combination. The goal is the right intervention for your case, not adherence to one ideology.
Can functional medicine help with hormones and weight loss?
Yes - and these are two of our highest-volume areas. Hormone shifts and metabolic dysfunction are often the actual reason patients can’t lose weight, can’t sleep, and don’t feel like themselves. Because we offer hormone optimization, medical weight loss, and peptide therapy under the same roof, we can layer the right interventions in the right order rather than sending you to three different providers.
Do you accept insurance for functional medicine?
Functional medicine, hormone optimization, weight loss, peptides, IV therapy, and longevity services are self-pay specialty services. They are not billable to insurance. Many patients use FSA or HSA funds, and we provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We are in-network with Cigna for traditional primary care visits only.
How often are follow-up visits?
Most patients are seen every 4 to 8 weeks during the first three to six months as we adjust protocols based on how you’re responding. After that, we typically move to quarterly follow-ups for ongoing optimization, and then twice-yearly for long-term maintenance and biomarker tracking.
Can I use my previous labs?
If they’re recent (within about 6 months) and comprehensive, yes - bring them. Many patients arrive with labs their PCP ran that no one walked them through. We re-interpret them through a functional lens, which often surfaces patterns that were missed. If your previous labs are outdated or incomplete, we’ll order what we need.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes for established patients within Florida. New-patient initial consultations are typically performed in person at our Brandon office so we can do a complete evaluation. Once you’re established, follow-ups, lab reviews, and protocol adjustments can almost always be done by telehealth.
How long until I start feeling better?
Most patients notice meaningful change within 8 to 12 weeks of starting their plan, with deeper shifts continuing through 3 to 6 months. Healing is layered - some symptoms (sleep, energy, bloating, mood) often respond first; others (hormones, weight, inflammation, deeper metabolic patterns) take longer to recalibrate. We track progress with both how you feel and the labs that confirm it.
Will functional medicine replace my regular doctor?
It can - but it doesn’t have to. We can serve as your primary care provider with sick visits, preventive screenings, and prescriptions, or you can keep your existing PCP and use functional medicine as the deeper layer that addresses what their schedule doesn’t allow time for. Both work. We coordinate with outside providers when appropriate.
Do you treat adolescents?
Yes. We see adolescents (typically ages 13 and up) for hormone, gut, skin, energy, mood, and metabolic concerns. The clinical approach is the same as for adults - functional ranges, comprehensive testing, personalized plans - just calibrated to where their biology is at that stage of life. Adolescent care includes a parent or guardian as appropriate.
What if I’m not sure where to start?
Most patients arrive with multiple concerns - fatigue, hormones, digestion, weight changes, sleep issues, brain fog. You don’t need to know what’s wrong before you book. That’s our job. The initial consultation is built to look at the full picture and decide together what matters most. If you can describe how you feel, we can build a plan from there.
When you’re ready for deeper answers.
