Medical Weight Loss & GLP-1 Treatment in Brandon, FL
It was never about willpower. It is about what is really driving your weight.
A slow metabolism, insulin resistance, hormonal shifts, stress, poor sleep, or years of yo-yo dieting. If you have tried everything and the weight keeps coming back, you are not failing. Something is working against you, and we find out what.
Our medically supervised program targets the root causes of weight gain, with medication when it fits, targeted fat reduction, custom meal plans, and support that keeps working long after.
Sound Familiar?
What we hear on first visits
If you have said any of these, you are in the right place. Start with your BMI

Check your BMI in seconds
Slide to your height and weight to see where you stand and whether prescription weight loss medication may be an option.
BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. It does not account for muscle, age, or where you carry fat, which is why we also use an InBody scan to measure body fat, muscle, and visceral fat, the deeper fat around your organs linked to metabolic risk. Final eligibility for any medication is determined by your provider.

What Is Really Going On
Weight is never just one thing
Stubborn weight usually has several drivers working together. Tap each one to see how it affects you. We test for and treat the ones that apply to you.

Stubborn belly fat is often the first sign of insulin resistance or a hormone shift.
We Handle the Hard Parts
Support that goes beyond the visit
Prior authorization, handled
If your plan covers FDA-approved weight loss medication, we help with the prior authorization paperwork and follow-up, so you are not stuck on hold.
Real-life coaching
Protein targets, strength training, sleep, and eating out. Practical guidance that fits your schedule, not a crash diet.
Progress you can see
Scheduled follow-ups with an InBody scan at every visit, so we can adjust your dose, manage side effects, and keep you moving forward. Add a skinny shot or IV to any visit.

Weight loss questions, answered
How much does the program cost?
First visit: $249. A full evaluation of your health, weight history, and goals.
Second visit: $199. We review your labs and body composition and build your plan.
Follow-up visits: $99. Check-ins to track progress and adjust your plan.
An InBody body composition scan is included with every weight loss visit.
Medication costs depend on the option that fits you and whether your insurance covers it, so we review them with you at your visit.
Does insurance cover weight loss medication?
Some plans cover FDA-approved weight loss medications, often with a prior authorization. We help you with the prior authorization process and paperwork. If your plan does not cover it, we will walk you through other options. Our visits are self-pay, and labs can often be billed to your insurance.
What is a GLP-1 medication?
GLP-1 medications, like semaglutide and tirzepatide, work like a natural hormone your body releases after eating. They help you feel full sooner, quiet constant food noise, and improve how your body handles blood sugar. At LIV, GLP-1 treatment is part of a complete plan that includes labs, InBody tracking, nutrition, and muscle protection.
Am I a candidate for GLP-1 medication?
In general, prescription weight loss medications are FDA-approved for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, prediabetes, or sleep apnea. Your provider makes the final decision after reviewing your full history. Try the BMI calculator above for a quick check.
What is the difference between brand-name and compounded medication?
Brand-name medications are FDA-approved and made by the manufacturer. Compounded versions are prepared by licensed pharmacies and are not FDA-approved or reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. We explain both options and help you choose what fits your needs and coverage.
What are the side effects?
The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are nausea, constipation, and reduced appetite, especially when starting or increasing a dose. We start low, increase slowly, and coach you on eating and hydration to keep you comfortable. GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for everyone, including people with certain thyroid cancer histories or pancreatitis.
Will I lose muscle?
Rapid weight loss can include muscle loss, which is why we track your body composition with InBody and build a protein and strength plan to protect your muscle and metabolism.
How much weight will I lose?
It varies from person to person, and results are never guaranteed. We focus on steady, sustainable fat loss while protecting muscle, and we track your progress at every visit so you can see exactly what is changing.
Can hormones be the reason I cannot lose weight?
Very often, yes. Insulin resistance, thyroid shifts, perimenopause, menopause, PCOS/PMOS, and low testosterone can all make weight loss harder. Explore Women's Hormones and Men's Hormones.
Can I get an InBody scan on its own?
Yes. The InBody scan measures your body fat, muscle, water, and visceral fat, the deeper fat around your organs that is linked to metabolic risk.
InBody scan only: $30
InBody scan with provider interpretation: $99
If you are in our weight loss program, your InBody scan is included with every visit.
What is Liquid Lipo (Lipo-Dissolve)?
Liquid Lipo, also called lipo-dissolve, uses small injections to target stubborn pockets of fat in areas like the abdomen, under the chin, and the thighs, without surgery. It works best for small areas once you are close to your goal, and it is often paired with your medical weight loss plan. Results vary, and we will talk through whether it is a good fit for you.
Do I have to take an injection?
No. Oral medications such as phentermine and Contrave, supplement-based plans, and custom meal plans are all available. We help you choose what fits your health and your comfort level.

Insurance coverage is determined by your plan, and prior authorization approval is not guaranteed. BMI is a screening measure and does not diagnose any condition. Lipo-dissolve injections using compounded phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate are not FDA-approved for fat reduction and are used off-label; the only FDA-approved injectable for fat reduction is indicated for fat under the chin.
